The Devil's Lost His Marbles (14 October)

Drove along the Stuart Highway until a natural formation called the “Devil’s Marbles”. Stopped to camp overnight. Amazing views.

These rock formations are caused by hard rock being split apart and soft rock worn away by water and time (lots of time). The sharp edges and corners are the first to go, leaving the rounded boulders behind.

Also the site of one of NT park's most ingenious toilets. The two black pipes are connected to the pit, and as they heat up, draw air out of the pit through the toilet bowl. Thus, no smell!

At the Devil's Marbles, we met JJ, a freelance photographer who has been travelling the country in his van and feeding elderly dingos in his spare time. He introduced us to Dazza the Dingo, who he had been keeping company with for 3 days.

The mighty apex predator, and friend.

Unfortunately JJ doesn’t have a website where he sells his pictures, but he will forever be ultimately responsible for this photo, because although he didn’t take it, he basically told me how to.

Right next to the UFO hotspot of Australia

Oh, and this one.
I won't tell you what we called it, but it rhymes.
