Kakadudleduu

After our 2-day detour, we hit the Stuart Highway again, passing through Tennant Creek and Katherine, on the way up to Kakadu National Park. Katherine was a bustling town with it’s on Target Country, so you know it’s hit the big time.

In Kakadu, we took a 60km detour for a hot shower (worth it) then pulled up at Sandy Billabong for a couple of nights. Plenty of signs warning about crocodiles, but no crocodiles yet.

Irony!

On the day we left, we accidentally left the fridge running on 240 volts, so in the morning, everything was frozen and the battery was flat. We had to push start the car, which ended up being a 2 hour process in 40*C heat, 80% humidity. You can be assured that morale was very high.

To this day I think the sound of a car starting in the morning is the most beautiful sound in the world.

No crocs.

Probably crocs.

To catch a croc.
Say hello to my leetle friend

I left my camera running for an hour and a half, taking a series of 30 second shots continuously. The picture above is one of the shots. The picture below is all of the shots (using this software: http://www.startrails.de/html/software.html)
